Just like once in the countryside

	A “real” holiday farm – this is how Count Filippo Testa defines his accommodation activity, a rib of the Tarantola Alcamo farm, inaugurated in 2003. Careful restructuring of the old buildings made it possible to create comfortable suites and double rooms, available to visitors who want to enjoy a genuine rural experience. Besides, to get to the place, you have to go through several kilometres of open countryside, amid soft hills in Trapani province, and the complex has preserved the rural atmosphere of the past intact. The main production here is wine production, a fairly obvious choice seeing that we are right in the heart of the hills on which there luxuriantly grow the controlled – origin – denomination Alcamo vines. Two wines are bottled here: Inzolia white and Chardonnay (the latter got a prize at the international “mayor’s selection”) with the Gorgo del Drago label, and red Conti Testa Cabernet -Syrah- Nero D' Avola. You can taste both wines, also trying out different combinations of food. And, above all from March to October, these wines draw big coaches full Of tourists, who come here attracted by the smell of the wine they will taste.
This is a true management success if we consider that tourist come from all over the world.Wine is not actually the only product. Vegetables and olives provide the raw materials for conserves, rosolios and jams, and liqueurs that are of the highest quality because they are made with procedures respecting nature. These products are also the basis of the dishes at the restaurant (open to visitors too). There is seating for sixty – five, and the number goes up in summer with people sitting outside.There are plenty of things to do here in your spare time, such as horseback excursions along the wine roads, itineraries that connect together the places producing Alcamo white. This is thanks to the fact that the farm is strategically placed between Palermo and Trapani, just a few kilometres from the Falcone – Borsellino airport. You can go for walks or bike rides, take parts in the olive harvest, watch agricultural activities and visit the vineyards.
